I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy who primarily works with the active population - weekend warriors, avid gym goers, crossfit athletes, body builders, and the mom or dad 'retired athlete' who want to get back their competitive spirit!
A little background about myself - I spent half of my childhood first in Queens, New York, and then in my native country of India before moving back to the U.S. at age 15 to live with my aunt and attend school in Connecticut. My aunt eventually retired to Sedona, Arizona, which is how I found my way to the Grand Canyon State. Inspired by my paternal grandfather’s successful rehab following a stroke, I began volunteering at a physical therapy clinic shortly after moving to the U.S. I was so intrigued by the prospect of helping people heal through movement, that I chose to pursue P.T. as a career path. I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science, and a minor in Physical Sciences from Northern Arizona University in 2000. I then went on to earn my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from NAU in 2004.
As an orthopedics and sports medicine specialist, I truly enjoy not only helping my patients get back to doing the things they love, but also giving them a whole new awareness and recognition of how to use their bodies.
When I am not helping my patients live better, more active lives, I enjoys hiking, running, working out, reading, watching movies, and spending time with my dog Riley, my cat Hendry, and my husband Frank.
