Greetings! I have been a physical therapist in an outpatient setting for over 20 years & I have been doing CrossFit for nearly 15 years. I have experience in both the clinical and fitness settings with people of all ages/backgrounds, and I do feel that each requires an individualized approach. I have a specific interest in training the motivated aging individual with goals of increasing their longevity and quality of their lives through movement/exercise. I coached a CrossFit class for people ages 50 and above for 3 years, and I understand the importance of functional movement training under close supervision of a clinician/coach. I also enjoy helping people who have injuries in their sport, or preferred method of training, return to the thing that they LOVE! Since beginning CrossFit nearly 15 years ago, I have been able to continue training without any significant breaks due to injury/pain. I credit this to the adopting the mindset that rest and avoidance of movement is not a viable option when it comes to an individual's mental and physical health and wellness. The Barbell Rehab Method provides a methodical framework to putting this mindset into action with measurable results!
