Nathan Whicker, PTA, CSMS, BRM

Born and raised in Greensboro, NC, I am a Page High School alum with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise & Sports Science from Methodist University. I have been a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant for three years after completing my training at Guilford Technical Community College. I currently practice at Emerge Orthopedics on Church Street in Greensboro, where I serve as the lead for lower-extremity return-to-sport testing.
I am certified in Sportsmetrics® Return-to-Jump Training, allowing me to incorporate evidence-based plyometric and landing mechanics programs into rehabilitation for athletes returning to high-demand sports. My clinical focus centers on working with athletes recovering from traumatic injuries as well as motivated individuals aiming to return to sport or active lifestyle activities. I specialize in strength and conditioning integration, movement analysis, and performance-driven rehabilitation programs designed to restore high-level function and build long-term resilience.
