The Comeback Story: How I Rebuilt Myself Twice

I was a college football player. Multiple injuries over the years - posterior shoulder dislocation junior year of high school, hamstring tear senior year, meniscus tear in college. After the shoulder injury, I had a PT tell me I'd never play again.

I spent a year rehabbing to prove him wrong. Got back on the field. Finally started seeing success my senior year. Then got called into the coach's office and found out I was out of eligibility. All that work, and it was over.

I gained 60 pounds. Quit school. Had to start over completely.

I found my way back through training. Lost the weight. Started coaching in 2018 because I wanted to help people avoid what I went through - the bad rehab advice, the feeling of being done, the weight gain from sitting on the sideline.

A few years in, I made some bad business decisions that cost me. The stress hit hard. I gained 50 pounds. Had to rebuild again.
I've done the comeback twice now - not because I'm special, but because I refused to stay down.

That's why I got my Barbell Rehab Certification. I know what bad rehab looks like because I lived it. I know what it's like to be told you can't do something and have to prove people wrong. I know what it's like to gain weight after injury derails you and feel like you're done.
Seven years later, I've helped dozens of clients do what I did - get back to training after injury and life knocked them down.

If you've been told you can't do what you used to, I've been there. If you gained weight after being sidelined, I've been there twice. If you feel like your athletic identity is gone, I've been there.

You can come back. I know because I've done it, and I've helped others do it too.
